Summary
Archaetnos cc was appointed by Plan Practice Town Planners, on behalf of the Canadian High Commission, to conduct a heritage impact assessment on Portion 1 of Erf 151 in Hatfield, Pretoria. The Canadian High Commission obtained the property and is of the intention to demolish the old house on the property in order to develop a parking lot here. They would therefore need a demolition permit depending on the results and findings of the HIA and the Public Participation process that will be conducted.
Based on the assessment of the house and related features it is recommended that the proposed development may continue, taking cognizance of the measures put forward at the end of this report. These measures need to be implemented prior to any actions being taken.
