Analysis of cultural objects excavated at the Paul Kruger Country House Museum, Boekenhoutfontein, Northwest ProvinceSummary
Most of the artefacts in the surface collection seem to be from the early – mid 20th century. There are a number of artefacts which may be slightly older, being late 19th – early 20th century. The boerenbont shards are slightly older, but one needs to remember that these could have been used for a very long time after manufacture. This means that the cultural material from the surface collection gives a broad representation of the site, although more 20th century artefacts were identified.
