Summary

Archaetnos cc was appointed by JW Environmental Solutions (Pty) Ltd to conduct a cultural heritage impact assessment for the proposed development of a fuelling station on the remainder of portion 48 of the farm Hartebeestfontein 312 IQ close to Lenasia in the Gauteng
Province.

In the area impacted upon by the proposed development no site of cultural heritage significance was found. The area is totally disturbed and therefore it is no surprise that nothing of note was identified. The report also gives an indication of the methodology followed. It also indicates how to deal with any archaeological material that may be unearthed during construction activities in the future.

It is concluded that the proposed development may continue and that no mitigation measures needs to be implemented.
