SECTION 34 APPLICATION FOR ERF THE DEMOLITION OF THE BUILDING ON ERF 1/936 (NOW PART OF CONSOLIDATED ERF 5701), BRITS, MADIBENG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, NORTH WEST PROVINCE

Archaetnos cc was appointed by Graceland Architects to conduct a Section 34 demolition application for a proposed development on erf 1/936 (now part of consolidated erf 5701), Brits. The building is also known as the Corlett Building. This is in the Madibeneg Local Municipality, North West Province.

 

The building that will be demolished is currently used as doctors consulting rooms. It has been changed much from the original building.

 

New buildings will be erected as part of the Brits Mediclinic. The erf lies on Pienaar Street in Brits. In 2019 a Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) was done for other erven (also now part of consolidated erf 5701). This has been approved by Provincial Heritage Resources Authority of the North West Province and this erf is seen as an addition to those dealt with in the HIA. The PHRA-NW indicated that a section 34 application should thus suffice.
