Phase 1 heritage impact assessment for the relocation and establishment of the Lion Park and assocaited facilities on portion 204 of the farm Kalkheuwel 493 JQ and portion 45 of the farm Vlakfontein 494 JQ

Summary

The study area is situated 6 kilometres from the Hartbeespoort Dam, just south of Pelindaba (NECSA) and has access from the R 512 in the Gauteng Province of South Africa.

This project may impact on any types and ranges of heritage resources that are outlined in
Section 3 of the National Heritage Resources Act (Act 25 of 1999). In order to investigate the heritage significance of the study area a Phase 1 Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) was commissioned by ROCK ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING (PTY) LTD and prepared by Archaetnos Research and Leonie Marais-Botes Heritage Practitioner.
