A report on the cultural heritage aspects for a basic assessment for alternative 4 of the proposed construction of the Eskom Riversong power line and substation in the city of Tshwane, Gauteng Province
Summary
Archaetnos cc was appointed by Landscape Dynamics Environmental Consultants to conduct a basic assessment relating to the cultural heritage aspects for a fourth alternative for the proposed construction of the Riversong power line and substation. Three alternatives were investigated previously. This is situated within the borders of the City of Tshwane in the Gauteng Province.
The fieldwork undertaken revealed one site of cultural heritage significance. The site is of a low cultural significance. Therefore route alternative 4 may therefore be used for the construction of the power line and substation. No mitigation is required.
