A report on the cultural heritage impact assessment for the GEPP project in Sasolburg, Free State Province
Summary
Archaetnos cc was appointed by WSP Environment & Energy to conduct a heritage impact assessment for the GEPP Project in Sasolburg, Free State Province. This entails the construction of a power plant to meet the requirements of Sasol.
The fieldwork undertaken revealed one site of cultural heritage significance. It is a fairly recent cattle fence and trough and is therefore regarded as having a low cultural significance. This report is therefore seen as ample mitigation. The development may thus continue.
