Summary
Archaetnos cc was requested by Landscape Dynamics to conduct a cultural heritage impact assessment for the proposed Roodeplaat Dam Development in the Gauteng Province. The project is undertaken for the Department of Water Affairs.
The fieldwork undertaken revealed six sites of cultural heritage significance on the area to be developed. These are all of low cultural significance, but will be impacted upon by the development. The report indicates how to deal with these.
This report serves as suitable mitigation measures. The sites may be demolished and the proposed development may continue.
